Front Motor Mount confusion

Post by aero850T »

I own a 97 850 t5 wagon with the broken motor mount shown in the picture. When I go to Groton or IPD both websites say this style mount is only used on the 94-95 850'sand there is a different style for the 96-97. My VIN says this is definitely a 97 (10th digit is a V) and the engine looks original. My questions are these. Are the mounts interchangeable? If not is the difference in the engine side or the frame side? Is this indeed the right mount fro my car? Is there a way to figure the date from the engine numbers? I just bought a 96 R ecu and would like to use it in this but now I don't know if my engine is from 94-95 or 96-97. Any help would be great.

Don't listen to the site. I know the mount is the same.
