service messaqge light is on showing "el power system service required" as well as the battery light being on. Ijust recently changed the battery. 2002S 60 2.4 with 109,000 mi.

Generally, it means it's time for an alternator, or replacement of a rotted B+ cable. What's the voltage at the battery with the engine running and A/C off?

unfortunately I do not know the voltage.

Ok, if you don't have access to a multimeter and/or don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, do book it in for service soon and have them test the charging system...I think the car isn't charging the battery properly and you might be left stranded with a dead battery.
