S60 timing belt

Post by 537playing »

Is it a necessity to remove the crank pulley on a 2.5T to replace the timing belt?

No, you can work it out like dental floss around the oil pump pressure relief valve.
You will have to remove the lower cover around crank pulley. Bolts are at about 3 o'clock and at 5:30.
The crank balancer/serpentine pulley comes off with the one big nut and the 4 bolts and no puller.
