FCP timing belt kit OEM quality?

FCP timing belt kit OEM quality?

Does anyone know if the timing belt kit listed by FCP for $199 is any good? It does specifically say the belt is Continental but what brand are the tensioner and idler etc?
Also, looked on IPD today and they changed their website! Takes me 4 times as long to find anything now!

That kit is very good quality and is all OEM parts.

As for IPDs new site. It is a little more work then before but once you get the hang of it, it is easier to find things. The search was not working the other day though so not sure if that is working now.

If you go to the fcpeuro.com site, there is a "Description" tab you can click and it tells the make of all those parts. For my car, there were the same makers that shipped with the vehicle from the factory (Conti-Aisin-Volvo-INA).

I have this timing kit in my 97 GLT. My indy confirms what went in is identical to what came out.
2012 C70 T5 Platinum, ember black on cranberry leather

btw why is the price different on fcpeuro?

The sticker was branded Continental, but was indeed in the kit.

My FCP timing belt kit came with a continental belt but aftermarket tensioner. And the tensioner pulley was warped. Personally, I would stay away from FCP's timing belt kits IMO.

The FCP Groton site is more expensive, the FCP Euro is much better to navigate and do research eventhough the toll-free numbers are the same. It could be the Groton site is for "local" only, I would go to FCP Euro. Same stuff will be sent to you.
