park assist and towing...

I've read a few threads around the net about the dealer wiring install is needed...but etrailers and others sell upgraded units that have the brains and power to get the job done on 05+ XC70s.

I've also read that dealer installed park assist have an off switch.

1. Does the factory installed park assist have an off switch?
2. Is the dealers towing wiring hardness install solution to turn off the assist (permanently) or install a switch when towing?

I'd rather not pay the dealer to install the dealer for something I can do but I understand the concerns may voice taping into the system of 05+ cars.
