That's not one of them :lol:. I mean, it's one in that group, but it's obviously not one of the crash site. That striking photo was of a test for radar signature. Follow the National Geographic link to see the crash site photos.

A-12 was the precursor to SR-71. It was developed at Area 51 as an attack aircraft in its very early stages -- thus the "A" in its name -- but by the time it became the SR-71 it was a reconnaissance-only aircraft.
