i final was able to drive my 97 850 today after putting in another used engine with 58k miles on it which took almost 2 months between my regular work schedule. for the past two days, ive been tracking down small problems and slowly been fixing them. i also had blue smoke coming from the exhaust. yesterday, the blue smoke disappeared and i thought all was dandy. today, before going on my test drive, i started it and it still was going good. a checked the oil again and it was about a quart low. i filled it up and when i went to start it again, the blue smoke reappeared. i then got a check engine light. i searched and read about the pcv system but looking under the hood of my car, i could not find the one pictured in the diagream of one posted by White850Turbo. is it difficult to clean or unclog out the pcv system? oh, i do have smoke coming out of the dipstick.
thanks
angel

You can't really see the PCV box w/ the intake manifold still on the engine; it'll have to be removed.
Is the car a turbo model? If so, did you transfer all of the turbo components from the old engine?

sean,
the engine that i put in had all the turbo stuff on it already. the only thing i needed to put on were the power steering, a/c, alternator, tranny, wiring harness. everything else was already attached to the motor. im gonna try to take the intake off and look at the pcv system better. i guess its more involved then just a pcv that sticks out of a valve cover like the old engines. anyway, do you think the pvc system would fail after 58k miles on it?
thanks
