Very cool, JRL. Looks like a mid-70s to early 80s body Vette. The body before the 1984 MY. With a strange porthole (?) and body mods all over (loong nose).

Man what a bad day to be driving an Audi. I thought that Allen McNish's crash was going to lead the highlight reels but the Mike Rockenfeller crash is the most horrific thing I have seen since the "Flying Mercedes" a few years ago at Le Mans. At least the Aston Martins exited a bit more gracefully with less drama but I always pull for the 007 and 009.

The unsubstantiated word is that Rockenfeller got out of the car under his own power and didn't burn to death.

Both those crashes were nuts but they did both walk away from the crashes under there own power. The amazing part is that even with both cars destroyed, Audi did win again by a good margin. Diesel power FTW.
