haunted blower fan

I walked out of the house Sunday afternoon and heard my interior blower fan on high. The car war shut off about an hour earlier after an hour drive using the air conditioner and a mid-fan setting.
Did anyone ever hear of a blower fan coming on all by itself?
All I did was start up the car and turned it off to stop the fan ....thanks Rob

It's normal, and is meant to remove moisture and condensation from the heater box.
