No Email Alerts/Replies via Forum- Please reply to test

I just got a new ISP, and I changed my email for posting alerts. But in my recent posting, I didn't get any email alerts.

I haven't changed any settings on the forum, and the box is checked to Notify for replies.

I'm wondering if my ISP is blocking replies from MVS forum???

Would you anyone reply here to test if my theory is correct please?

(And yes, some ISPs block MVS email. It's next on the To Do list of my server admin. It's something with the configuration of my sendmail settings... geeky Linux stuff that's over my head... and I'm a geek.)

Hi Matt,

I was about to contact you today. I didn't receive your reply. My current provider is AT&T, which uses Yahoo to power their email. Unknown who really controls the spam filter. Never had this problem before.

It works for me with my Yahoo email account.

I'd add "[email protected]" to your contacts, and if that doesn't work, I'd contact your ISP.

That said, there is "room" to improve my server's mail system, and like I said above it's next on my guy's To Do list.

Configuring mail is notoriously difficult in the server admin world, which is part of the reason I hired this guy to do monthly maintenance. Let me know how it works out for you.

Matt, one thing I've noticed is when I reply to a post using Taptatalk from my phone - like I do on weekends/nights when I refuse to be around my computer, I (usually) don't get an email back.

Does viewing the topic from there count as a page view towards the server?

Yes, it increments the view by 1, as you would expect. Same as a regular browser topic view.

Right, when there is a response or I make a reply to it using Taptatalk. I'll go back and see that there have been new replies since mine and never got the email.

Hi Matt,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe adding "[email protected]" to my email client, is going to fix anything. I only replied now because I haven't received the email alerts (manual checking now). I believe I will have to call my ISP. I don't use web based email from my ISP. I also don't think calling AT&T which has terrible technical support is going to help. However, I will try talk to them about it. Sorry for the delay, I didn't know people were replying obviously.
