Before anything, get the codes from the car's computer. In North American models it's called OBDII. It stores codes, and with an electronic tool you can get those codes from the car. The codes will tell you what's wrong.
I would do the basic stuff like checking/changing the spark plugs, air filter, oil, fuel additive (to clean injectors).
If that does not work, then I would look for vacuum leaks in the small white vacuum lines, and I would check the fuel pump and fuel pump relay.
