Driveway ramp dealt death knell to black plastic air guide under front bumper. On the edge with this car - downside to not replacing? Risk damage to my shiny new rad?
Thanks

It provides two benefits; protection from small rocks and such, and guides the air to appropriate spots for improved air cooling.
Now with that said; I have no idea when my guide disappeared - but it's been YEARS and I haven't been too worried.

Helps with gas mileage too! Mine went up 2 mpg once I bought a new one.

That might motivate me to put mine back on. I've had it off since the swap, and that's been over a year ago. Now where did I put those bolts?jblackburn wrote:Helps with gas mileage too! Mine went up 2 mpg once I bought a new one.

Took mine off about 2 months ago for access to some stuff and stashed it and the 2 screws out of the way. They are still out of the way. The ambient temps are up and the engine temp is fine. Gas mileage remains the same. Won't hurt to put it back on...next time I'm down there. (Ran it for about a year without the guide in 2005. It was fine then, too)
