Hi folks,
I stumbled onto this site as I start looking for a solid, affordable, wagon for a daily driver. I'm totally new to Volvos- I've been driving awd subarus for quite a while-but there seem to be lots of used, older Volvos around, so I'm looking for more info. What are the common problems that I need to look out for? How long can I reasonably expect a well maintained car Volvo to go? I'm also looking for as much info about the provisions for installing children's car seats. I'll do my best to read, as well as shut up and listen. Any advice is welcome.
new guy, checking in

Volvo Buyer's Guide
But remember, 90% of the people to come here come because they have problems, not because their Volvos are running smoothly
. So don't get scared. Just be smart. Ask questions in the appropriate car forum and you'll get good info from the smart folks here.
