vibration while accelerating

04 xc 90has a vibration when accelerating.it doesnt do it while coasting so i dont think it is the tires.thanks for any advice.it has about 100000 miles on it.

we have found the right front axle inner drives pitting and causing the three pole unit to grab and cause a vibration on accel replace the axle

i was looking at right cv boot and it is tore all the way around.it has slung all the grease out.will it hurt to drive in the short term? will i have to replace the axle or just the boot? thanks very much volvodoc!

Get the entire setup as one unit. You'll need it all and it is less money getting the "kit". IPD has them and I think FCP Groton does as well. If you don't already have the grease you'll be needing it. Not a very difficult job,but can get very messy!
