How do I get the finish to shine?

Post by AlanS »

I want it plain and simple. I have two Volvos (1995-85/ 2001 S40) with weathered finishes. One black, the other dark blue with clear. A simple wash and wax just doesn't do it. What can I do to bring out the finish before I wax for the winter?
I have one of those 10" double handled RO waxers, and a 6" Porter Cable Radom orbital 'sander' that I use for woodworking (I was told that I can get pads for finishing for this thing). Other than that, I have my hands.
What do I get? what is the process? Plain and simple...please.

If you already have a Porter Cable I HIGHLY recommend Adams Polishes! They have a kit designed for the PC and it will completely bring your paint back to life! My 1996 850 Wagon was pink when I bought it. Yep, the paint was that oxidized. It looks brand new now. I've even had people at work ask me if I got my car repainted. Check 'em out www.adamspolishes.com

Good luck!!

www.towelpros.com has plenty to choose from.
