Wierd engine problem

Post by gtg737m »

I was driving my 1992 Volvo 850 Turbo yesterday in the highway at 40 mph since there was lots of traffic and my engine suddenly died eventhough the car was moving. That was dangerous now that the break pump quit working so it was difficult for me to stop the car. When I was able to pull over and put my car in Park the car started working back again. Does anyone in this forum had had this problem before with 850s? I talk with a friend of mine and he told it's probably the ignition module or the fuel pump. I would appreciate a lot if anyone can give any feedback on this topic now that I don't want this problem to happen again while driving the car at higher speeds. Thanks.

I put that my car was a 1992 850 Turbo but it's really a 1994 850 Turbo. Sorry about that.

there are several discusions under engine stalling......

1st check your battery connections, they must be solid!

if ok then clean your MAF & butterfly just do a "search" and you will find more info, try using different keywords!
