I received my ballast resistor today, tried to install it and can't get the car to start. The r.p.m. gauge doesn't move at all, just like it did when the old one was on w/broken wires.
The 5 wires that are inside the plastic 'plug' that plugs into the ballast resistor were taken out to be taped, lots of raw wire, so now i don't know which wire is which, and i'm guessing that's the problem.
Is there any way to find out which wire goes where?I can't find wiring diagrams for it. Will i have to trace the wires all the way back to where they begin? B230ft 2.3L

I was advised from someone on brickboard.com that 1 of the 5 wires would be thicker, the other 4 go to the injectors, and that this wire should be put on the 1 wire that runs to the bottom of the resistor.I located the thicker wire, so it worked out easier than i thought it would.
In order to make it more simple to describe: Let's call the resistors A and B. A has two connections A:1 and A:2, resistor B has B:1 and B:2.
Connect the BL wire to A:1, it should be the wire coming from ignition coil. Connect a wire (jumper) from A:2 to to B:2, connect also a BN-W wire to B:2. Connect the other two BL wires to B:1
The A:1 connection is going to the ignition coil.
The B:2 connection is going to the starter relay
THe B:1 is going to the ignition key and ignition module
