The amp is optional - it depends on what stereo head unit you have installed. If the amp is installed, it will be under the passenger seat. The HU-801 series headunits should have the external 200 watt amp under the passenger seat. The HU-601 series headunits have a built-in 100 watt amp.
The rear deck speaker size is 8", and the door sizes appear to be 6.5".

Do you know if the rear speakers have their own amp? I know the center channel has its own....eli wrote:The amp is optional - it depends on what stereo head unit you have installed. The rear speakers do not have their own amp. They are either powered by the same amp under the seat, or in the stereo.Sixshooter wrote:Do you know if the rear speakers have their own amp? The center channel seems to be powered by the stereo - the wire to it runs to the connector behind the stereo.

I recently developed a problem with my HU-801. The only speaker which now works is the center speaker. Could this be a sign that the amp under the seat is bad? I did get quite a bit of water in the car and it was wet under the passenger's seat. Thanks.
