My local dealer MATCHES ONLINE PRICES

Post by Volvos rock3 »

Hey, I live in the greater Allentown PA area and there are two local dealers. I usually deal with Brown Daub Volvo in Nazareth. I have purchased several accessories for the 09 S80, Ipod interface, mud flaps, rear door shades and floor mats. The parts manager has matched or beat the online parts deals (prices at the online dealers, ie discountvovloparts.com, volvowholesaleparts.com, etc)I have found and all I had to do was ask! Bonus...NO SHIPPING  Next time you have to go to the dealer for something definately ask them. I take a list of the prices for him, but he usually doesnt even bother he justs asks what I found as far as price. I must say that I have a 8 year relationship with these guys, so that probably helps to.

They give you discount they still make some money and earn return credits. You walk and they get to pay interest on money for parts sitting on shelves. Of course that is not the way every dealer sees it. I walk a lot. It helps when you live where there are other places to "walk" to. I think Tasca Volvo and a few others that do online sales have figured out that.

Yes Jimmy you got it. This all started a few yers ago with tires. I was surprised because all of the parts as of late (for the S80) have been special orders...He is also very honest in that he will tell me when he can't do it (rarely), up front with no run around. Last week I needed some Lug bolts for the 02 and he came down from $10.50 to $7.00, but could not match IPDs $5.15 (with shipping), so I bought the three I needed immediately and ordered the rest.

The other dealer in the area usually causes the walk..
