I own a pre-owned 2002 XC70. The owner's manual list transmission fluid to be changed at 52,500 miles for vehicles used for towing only. Do vehicles not used for towing never get the fluid replaced?

it is easy to pull the line at the trans cooler and pump out old fluid 2 qts at a time and do this several times. read about this on volvospeed: this topic has been discussed ad infinitum. I would definitely flush my tranny every 50-60K miles and have done so.
