Volvo Repair Database 16" Rims vs 17" rims ('06R)

Getting ready for winter can never be too soon here. Anyway, looking at a aset of 16" rims off a P2 Volvo (V70) to use for mounting my tires. Anyone know of any interference issues between the rims and calipers on the 2006R? I believe the rotors and calipers might be a bit larger on the R.

If you are referring to the 302mm rotors (Big Brakes), then yes, it (16" rims) will NOT fit. 17'' plus will do it.

You CANNOT fit ANY 16" wheel to a P2 R but there are few inexpensive 17" aftermarket that fit.
If you're concerned with a wide snow tire Volvo recommends going with a 225/45/17 instead of a 235/45
Enkei used to make a very good looking cheap wheel. Mnak aftermarkey 17" wheels need 5mm spacers to clear the calipers.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I had discovered the same information last night after researching the issue. Oh well...it's only money! (I will be going with the 225s)
