SpeedTuning Chip for 850

Post by greeselightning »

Anybody who wants to chip their 850 turbo for $249 please reply back to me. I went in on a group buy with Speed Tuning (http://www.speedtuningusa.com) Ran into some financial difficulties and needed my money back. Since it was a group buy and the cost was at discount, the only way I can get my money back is for someone to take my place for this group buy. I never sent in my ECU to get the chip replaced so the SpeedTuning Rep recommended I have someone take my place.

So if you

What groupbuy did you go in on? The one on VS was over months ago.

Hey Sean,

The group buy I went in on was sometime last year (Oct 05). I didn't send in my ECU right away because SpeedTuning said the chip for a non-turbo engine would cause the check engine lite to come on because of checksum errors.

So I waited patiently until they could find a fix to the checksum error. Well like I said, I ran into some financial difficulties and ST still hasn't fixed the error. I couldn't wait any longer, so if anybody wants to take my place, be my guest.

ST said the chip works fine with the turbo models but for the NA engines a little bit more tweaking with the programming. I didn't want to drive with a check engine lite on just because of a couple more extra horses. Wouldn't be able to tell if a real check engine light malfunction was on.

I was planning on purchasing a chip upgrade in the near future, so I'll buy it, if it still available.
