I recently purchased a 3 spoke wooden sport wheel for my 2005 T6 to replace the 4 spoke leather one. I also purchased an airbag from a local dealer. It unfortunatly had 2 connectors in the back whereas mine has 3. I'm not sure if the 3rd connector is in reference to an option such as nav, which mine has. I returned it to the dealer with no one able to tell me why the difference.
Does anyone know why the 3rd connector? Is there a reputable airbag supplier to be found?
Thanks,
Roncop

The third is for a pyrotechnic vent. When the crash forces are in certain range the vent is activated during the airbag deployment to reduce bag pressure. In higher force crashes it is not deployed until approximately 1 second later, after crash is over, so as to not have an undeployed pyrotechnic device left on an otherwise scrap unit.
