Car won't start

Post by gtg737m »

Hey everyone,
Yesterday my car was fine until I got off from yesterday and tried to start the car. The car tries to start but I feel like if there was no fuel pressure. The battery is new and I tuned up the car 3 months ago. I also changed the MAF sensor, the front O2 sensor and the knock sensors. This morning that I tried to start it again I was able to do this after the sixth time I tried. Now that car is at a Volvo dealer and I'm just waiting for them to call me to let me know what's wrong with the car. The person who recieved my car at the dealer said that it could be the rpm sensor or maybe the fuel pump. Any ides? I have a 1994 850 Turbo. Thanks.

I would suspect the same as what the dealer told you....those things as well as the fuel pump relay. All of these are things that can go wrong, as are the ignition lines. I hope it's not a big deal for your sake.

So they found the problem at the Volvo dealer. Apparently the camshaft position sensor is bad. Hope this helps anyone that has a similar problem like mine.

Ah...the good 'ole camshaft position sensor. I'm reading more and more about these on other forums too. I guess I should put this on the list of things that eventually will need replacing on these cars.
