bigger maf?
bigger maf?
Ok I was wondering if anyone tried this, on a sc300 u can get a sc400 v8 maf and injectors from a supra and they work perfect togather because the maf is 25% bigger and the injectors flow just the right.amount I was wondering if something like this would be posible? Im not good at math but can I use a bigger maf and calculate how much more fuel I would need and find injectors that would work? Does that make.sence? Seems like.an easy way.to use bigger injectors

Do you feel any kind of trouble or efficiency loosing after doing this? after reading your post i also want to do this mod but not sure what will be the outcome.claymore wrote:I'm using a bigger Maf housing to slow down the air going past the sensor, makes the mapping much more controlable, so the answer is actualy yes, and not as above.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by efficiency, the reason I'v got a bigger maf is because the ecu couldn't keep up with the information it was getting from the smaller maf housing, the ecu doesnt know what to do with the fueling when it gets boost at tick over, but the slower air flow through the bigger maf lets the ecu compensate a bit easyer.jakesulivan wrote:Do you feel any kind of trouble or efficiency loosing after doing this? after reading your post i also want to do this mod but not sure what will be the outcome.claymore wrote:I'm using a bigger Maf housing to slow down the air going past the sensor, makes the mapping much more controlable, so the answer is actualy yes, and not as above.
