Hey Volvo community. it has been a fun ride, but I think my Volvo days are finished.
So before I call the scrap guy to come pick it up, I am taking offers on anything you might want or need. If it is worth my time to take off and ship, I'll do it. If you are close to Nashville and want to do it yourself, come on. If you want to beat the scrap yards offer, I'll listen.
Most notably, the Xemodex Electronic Throttle Module is for sale for $300. It has 700 miles on it. This is what started the downward spiral.
The true story is painful but I'll try anyway. I was installing the new ETM December 20ish. My kid calls on his way home from first semester at college and wants to hang out. I hastily finish up job. Haste makes waste. Forgot $1.29 water hose clamp and what-do-you-know, I blow the engine. Sank $2000 in new engine install, and moron mechanic takes 7 months to do it. 700 miles later transmission dies. I give up. Scrap Co. offered $450.
