A friends 1990 volvo 740 auto estate B230kp Pierburg carb motor has a cutting out problem.The car will start from cold run ok for about 2 miles then stop,wait for 30 seconds the car will start run uneven for 200 yds then stop again this will continue until you cover the 2 miles home.
Any help appreciated .

I dont know much about the carb motors... if its running for a bit then cutting out id say its a fuel pump problem or ignition issue, something is getting hot and shutting down on you.
