Hello All,
I'm new to the forum, and have quickly scanned previous messages...
Is there an easy means to examine the codes causing the lambda light to show? I am a reasonable competent person with a computer etc, and wonder how easy it would be to get the codes from the car? Is there are kit to do this?
I am on a limited budget and my V40 2.0T has just started playing up, the lambda light has been on and off for the past few months, but yesterday the car decided to stop idling whenever I stop and from time to time the electric coolant fan starts up when I turn the engine off and won't switch off until I drive the car round the block...
If I could identify the cause of the light I suspect I could fix the problem myself without the garage fees. Any help would be appreciated.
Simon
