swap? engine from 240 dl sit a 3.8 chevy in

thinking in swap engine on my 240 dl wagon thinking in a engine 3.8 from chevy camaro 6 cil, trans manual. Will it fit? or can I use any other type? Any idea ? no more than 6 cil. Looking for power an good mpg . whitout loosing my brick.

That should easily fit as it is a lot smaller engine than the V6 that was fitted to the 240 body 76-82. There will be a lot of fabricating and some electrical adapting to be done. There are many who have used small block chevy and ford engines for transplants but that camaro V6 is not one I know of being used.

Welcome to MVS,

There are a bunch of small block Chevy V-8 conversions out there so I see no problems getting a 3.8 to fit.

There are even some books for V-8 conversions.

It is clearly not a small job and it requires many modifications.
