Looking at purchasing car noted in title. Car has 99.6k miles on it, looks to be in very good shape. Has recently had PS unit, brake booster and front and year brakes replaced. I note this car has a timing belt v. chain. At what interval should this have been changed or should I expect it to be changed? What else should I be looking for on a 10 yr. old Volvo?
TIA
Possible Purchase of '01 S80 T6 Exec
Be prepared to change the timing belt, water pump, and tensioner. If it hasen't been done. Since i procrastinated mine wen't at 95,000 would have been easier to replace the timing components instead of rebuilding the head.

Check to see that the electronic throttle control has been replaced under warranty. I believe there is/was a ten year 'expiry' on the recall so double check this. I believe the new replacement unit has a yellow label. I think if you give the VIN to a dealer, they can advise if all recalls have been done.
