Coolant Level Sensor

Post by ssmlauck »

I recently had my timing belt replaced and when I picked the vehicle up the coolant level sensor light was on. The repair shop claims that the sensor went bad and needs to be replaced. Upon investigation, I discovered that the sensor has to be disconnected to change the timing belt. I think they probably just forgot to plug the dang thing back in, and rather than argue with them (and probably still wind up paying the $100+ for the part and labor) I'd rather just try to plug it back in myself, but I can't find any diagrams that give its location. Anybody got that info?

Very simple...plugs into the very bottom...you can't see it with the expansion tank in place. Take it out and you'll see...self explanatory!

Awesome. At least I can check it now and make sure they're not just trying to gig me.
