Recently my retractable antenna was broken during a car wash. I yanked out the upper broken antenna mast with the toothed nylon string. I also removed the whole motor assembly from the trunk. But a broken part of the metal mast base is still hidden inside the tube of the motor assembly, as a result I cannot install the new mast into the tube of the motor assembly
How can I remove the remnant of the broken old mast metal base from the tube of the motor assemembly?
can anybody help me?

You are to remove the wheel off the motor (white wheel) and locate the broken spline (broken white plastic antenna mast) and remove it before you can install the new one. Some just did this on 850/S70/V70 forum around 8 or 9 OCT 2011. Go to that forum, it has pictures of it. You may have to go over a few pages to fine it, because there is alot of activiy on that forum.
