Thanks for the VRD compliment. I think I'm almost done with the VRD "side" of the site. Then it's this side, the forum. I'll not take anything away or make anything harder. In fact, I want to do the opposite

Hmm, I'll chime in on this.
I took the GRE last week after months of preparing for it, and I'm anxiously awaiting my scores next month. Judging from the "ranges" they provide based on the old test, it looks like I did fairly well - though not as well as I would have liked on the English part. That actually surprises me; I usually do best on those parts on the tons of practice tests I have done.
I'm also on the hunt for a new job around the Washington DC/Northern VA area. I love Blacksburg, but it's time for me to find a better job (that pays more! please!) and there's just nothing around here. I'm hoping to make that move by March at least, since I will run out of project hours for this year around that time with how much I have been working recently. I will also be closer to lots of friends I made in college that moved back to their home area once they graduated. Most of the population of VA lives in 3 big places - Richmond, the VA Beach/Hampton Roads area, or "Northern VA" - the area right around DC.
In a week or two, once things settle down a bit at work and I stop having meetings every week after-hours, I'm going to start applying to grad schools for the fall of next year (2012). And the hope is that if that doesn't happen, the hope is that I'll have a nice job to fall back on and re-apply the next year. I want to pursue a PhD in Geosciences/Geology - I love teaching, and I'm pretty sure that's what I would like to do with the rest of my life. I'm planning on applying to:

I am so looking forward to Nov 19th. This is the first day for my vacation. Until then, work is just going to be hell. We are in the process of implementing a new ERP system at my day job and me being in IT is doing most of the work. I am basically nonstop from 8 am to 6 pm everyday.

Seeing what grants, scholarships, or financial aid she is eligible for.
And if it comes down to it, Student loans.
Wants to go in to be an RN. Then I am going to look into how much the local UTI or other automotive school gets.
