Turbocharged engine?

Turbocharged engine?

Hi, iam new to this forum. I have a question. Does a 1996 VOLV 850/GLT engine come with a turbo. I think it dose but i want to be sure. Also do you think the engine will with hold a bigger turbo? Like 16-18 psi.

No, the '96 GLT does not come with a turbo. Neither does the '95, but the '97 does. Dont' know what Volvo was thinking when they came up with their lettering and number systems. Anyway, this is what you have:
2.4L inline 5 168 SAE net hp, 162 SAE net ft./lbs.
