Getting rid off the wheel well space? Need help please

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Getting rid off the wheel well space? Need help please

Post by sctwest »

I have a 2007 s80 v8 with 17' rims. I hate all the wheel well space and want to get rid of some of it.

option 1: I was thinking of lowering it a little, this way I can keep my 17' rims.
But all the lowering parts I find say for 2wd, I have awd.
Can anyone give me a link to some lowering parts for my s80?

option 2:
I was also thinking of getting 19' wheels, but then have to also get new tires. Expensive!

Which option sounds better to get rid of some wheel well space?????

Thnaks

Depends on what you want. Do you want performance/handling and semi-comfort? Do you want comfort, and virtually no performance, and stock handling?

Though mine is different, it has 18 X 8 wheels, dropped w/Eibach Pro lowering springs, HD endlinks and strut bar. Will be getting IPD sway bars, Koni FSD Struts/shocks and install next spring.

Thanks for the info.

I guess I am going for the handeling seeing a stock 2007 s80 v8 doesn't corner very well.

I love the Heico s80's so I am trying for that kind of look.
