No, it is not a Volvo, but I could not pass up the deal.

It is a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 with 45K miles. Came with a 2 year bummer to bummer warranty too.

Mazda speed eh? Is that the ridiculously turbo-ed 4 cyl from the 3? I never even knew they made a performance 6.

I've got respect. That's a hot car.

I had a 323 2-dr hatchback 4-sp manual back in the day and it was always 20% faster than the other econo-boxes that swarmed our streets in the 80s and early 90s. Mazda has always seemed to want -- and implement -- a power edge over competitors.

They used to. The old 626 V6's were nice cars too.

My friend has a 2009 Mazda3 - it's pretty sluggish with a 4-speed auto and 2.0 liter but is a BLAST to throw around corners. But the new revised model? Ugh. Why change something that was a great seller?

That 6 sounds like a handful, though. How's the turbo lag?

The Turbo lag is almost non-existing. It is at full boost at 2.5k RPMs.

I here you about the 3. The new skytech engine is suppose to be a lot better then the old 2 liter for Banger.
