91 740 turn signal assembly replacement

Hello everyone,

Do I need to take out the headlight assembly to replace the turn signal assembly or do I just need to pull out the turn signal assembly..

There is a white plastic tab between the headlamp and the indicator housing. Access the tab from inside the engine compartment pressing it towards the wing (fender?) and push the indicator unit forward.
