My Car is a 1998 V70 T5 with 170K miles. What I have done in the past 10 month is:
Replaced control arms, replaced end links, replaced spring seats, replaced struts, and replaced everything in the rear suspension.
In addition I have refurbished Axe's and replaced rotors and pads in the front.
I do have a leak on the steering rack and when turning the steering wheel while stationary I hear a clunk as there seems to be a bit of play in the rack. This is not noticed when the car is up on a lift by wiggling the Tyre.
My car drives and rides very nicely, with the biggest improvement coming with the rear suspension bushes and spring seats replaced.
I have however noticed, when I drive to work in the morning the car feels tight and firm like it should be. However driving back home in the evening, after the weather has heated up during the day my car feels loose and rattly in the front. It's almost like the spring seats are worn again.
Could this be due to the steering rack heating up much quicker and making itself felt?
Ant suggestions are appreciated.
Strange front suspension rattle sometimes

Try jacking up the control arms and tightening down the sway bar link nuts really tight. My car felt really "loose" when just one of the nuts was slightly loose - and it was clunking a lot.

Thanks for the reply.
I have actually thought it could be that and have tightened the bolts up one more time without any change.
What worries me that it seams to be temperature dependent? Mornings when it is cool, no problem. Afternoon, when its hot out, the problem comes up.
Let me know what you think.

Could it be a bad tie rod?
Had some time to have a look underneath the car. It seams that the Control arm bolts where not as tight as they should have been.
Tightened them up nicely and the car feels allot better now. I will get it up on the lift today and do the tightening again with proper torque values.
