I'm new to fixing these cars .. I just did my brakes had to replace calilpers DISC front and back new pads control arms were done by certified mechanic because I wasn't able to take the pin out the knuckle didnt have right tool but anyway i still saved on parts using volvospeedpart.com

But my biggest thing is I can't find the low side to recharge the A/C :D :D Maybe someone can post a pic on where location I even looked at compressor I found this cap next to drive belt but he book said its on lower side supposely by the firewall...

I still didn't find it..

Also have a few more things my Power seats on driver side sometimes motor doesnt move I have to keep clicking it to move every 1/4 inch...

Also I was wondering on location of the speedo sensor is it on transmition under air filer under the cover wires wasn't sure so I didn't do anything with Speedo cable sensor...

but Its by far beats any car i ever had besides having the turbo leak oil I didnt have synthetic oil but now i'm mising it with 20/50 weight upto 5 quarts and 2 quarts synthetic 5/30 so atleast it still has synthetic I've heard everything about switching back to conventional oil that you really shouldn't so I keep it 75/25 25% syn...

I hope you're not putting 7quarts in your sump. If you are, then you've got too much and will make whipping cream out of your oil....not good for the engine. Yes, you can switch back to dino oil from synth....I just wouldn't go back and forth too much. Not sure about mixing different weight dino and synth oils....they really aren't made to be mixed. If you want that kind of oil, buy a "synth blend" that is already mixed up properly.

Great links in this wonderful thread about the A/C high and low valves:

Thanks it was more like 7.5 quarts

Hey since that post is old and thx I'll post some pics maybe you can see the top port in which one person said the big hose is low side and small is high side :P :P confusing I guess this is my 1st recharge i'm trying to do man a brake job is much easier :P :P

Heres some pics I have I read the manuel it says something about the high side don.t touch because its the pressure testing port and vacuum port for A/C

This is the one I was referring to that I found

If you stand infront of your car with the bonnett open, put your left and right hands on the core support. Spread your left and right hands to each side of the radiator, Its going to be where your left hand is about 6/8 inches from the core support on the passenger side of the car. You will see a cap covering a valve stem ( schrader valve ) that says 6nm MAX. That is the Low Pressure hose you use to charge your system.

It would behoo of you to go to an auto parts store and get a recharge kit with a gague. You should see how much pressure is in the system and when it is low, you can saftly add 1 can of fluid/coolant in the system. Use R-134. If it does not cool that well after that, add one more can. Not more than 1.6lbs of refrigerant.

You will be happy with those results.

As far as mixing synthetic and dino oil... Follow Made in Japans advice, Use one or the other. :D

To be honest, I've never found the high port on mine....and I don't care. In the following picture, I've lightened up the area around the low port access. Just unscrew the cap and plug the hose/gauge, what-have-you onto that pipe.
