1990 240 dl code 212 Oxygen sensor signal

I just had the check engine light come on with a 212 error code.

Is this the front 02 sensor?

What is the best course of action to take care of this?

Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

There is only one O2 sensor on the 240 upstream of the catalytic converter.

Did you erase the code? If you did has it come back? If you didn't, erase the code and see what happens. Occasionally a code will be set without a real problem existing.

Erased the code and the same 212 02 sensor code came back on again.

Is it bad to continue driving the car until I can find a fix?
What's my best course of action?
