Planning on replacing my rear shocks soon (1996 850 R). I don't need a high performance shock, but I'm wondering if people could give opinions about Bilstein TCs versus replacing the OEM shock. It looks like they're about the same price, but how's the ride difference? Any other issues? Pros? Cons?
Thanks!

A lot of people love the Bilsteins, but I'm not one of them. I bought the TCs for my 98 S70 and the rear shocks are noisy. They clunk especially when cold. (Not the bump stops or the shock mounts causing the noise) I contacted Bilstein about replacing them under warranty and found their warranty replacemtn policy to be basicly unworkable. I'm getting ready to replace the rear shocks with Sachs. The front struts have been fine.

Appreciate the feedback. That's what I had heard. I'll be getting the Sachs/Boge OEM.

This is interesting....I've had no issues what-so-ever out of my rear TC's.
