Recognizing the Helpers

Post by matthew1 »

Here's a shout-out to all the helpers. You know who you are. You're not a moderator -- that's the difference between you and the Mods -- but you have more helping posts than you do question posts.

You help others because you get enjoyment by helping others. You spend time answering questions. Or you spend time assembling instructions for write-ups, or both. You want to see Volvo owners save time and money -- and by extension, have more time to enjoy their families.

Maybe I'm romanticizing it, but you know what I'm getting at. You're an unsung, small segment of the MVS membership. So to everybody here, raise an e-glass* to the MVS helpers.

We truly have assembled a huge number of knowledgeable members that take the time to answer questions. Many times I have logged on and there is nothing left for me to add to any question because one of the other guys has already nailed it.

In reality, being a moderator only means that you know how to move posts to the proper forum and delete the spam - it doesn't necessarily mean we know any more than anyone else about a specific problem.

I completely agree !!!.

Using this site and watching the Volvo community come closer together by helping each other is wonderful. I learn things from helper posters all the time. I feel blessed to be involved.

Am I getting too thankful?

I'd like to give a shout-out to the electrons who selflessly move between the atoms in the processors in the datacenter that runs MVS. Without them, this site would not run.

I think it's just awesome how much help I get from everyone here in return when I post up a topic. Couldn't ask for more helpful people out there when my car decides to throw a curve ball at me.

Thank all of you for contributing to this site, and I hope all of you have a Happy Christmas and a great holiday season with your families. :)

I want to applaud all the solder that manages to hang in there and PFFFFFFFFFFFTTT! to the same stuff that cracks and renders numerous things non-functional.
