Electrics BooBoo

Happy Christmas Guys!

I made a boo-boo, im hoping someone here might be able to save me! My electric window was giving me bother so i followed this post (which was great!) got the problem fixed... only i stupidly forgot to take the bloody keys out, while im doing it!

www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21040

So when i turned the key i noticed one of the Xenon headlamps was just flashing on and off, then i noticed Anti Skid temporary disabled came up on the dash board, then it wouldnt turn over.. just a weird electrical noise.. Im hoping the battery has just died and needs a jump but has anyone else replaced anything without removing the battery?

Glad it worked out.

Its unlikely you will actually damage something by not remoiving the battery. Its often a good practice, and it gives your electronic modules a "reboot" to re establish communications, but its also as much about your own safety while working on the vehicle.

Its unlikely you will damage things, however.
