installing a rear wing on an 850 wagon
I just bought a used factory rear roof wind deflector for my 97 850. It has the mounting brackets and I can see that it uses double-sided tape. I just cant tell how th brackets mount to the hinges. Help! Does the tape go on first? what holds the bracket to the hinge?

Mine was fitted when I bought the car. It is held on to the hinge by 3 torx headed bolts per side, as in the picture. The double sided tape appears to go under the ends of the spoiler (wing) between it and the tailgate. Presumably this provides a cushion to stop noise or damage.
Hope this helps.
