The only thing I don't love about my Volvo(s)...

is the green dash and controls lighting. I love all the ergonomics inside all my Volvos. I know the green lighting may be functional, easy on the eyes, low glare, etc. It looks very low class and old-style, however.

I would go through an exercise of changing all my lamps to white LED's but it would still leave the alphanumeric LCD displays with green letters, so that would look even worse.

I just think the green looks so......1965

Eh, it's something that was continued well on into the 2000's.

The white backlighting on Honda Accords' dash looks pretty awesome to me. The orange on BMW's is kinda annoying - that to me makes it look like they're older than they really are.

VW's have some of the coolest dashes at nighttime. Blues and reds - just looks amazing.

Thats exactly what got me thinking this way. My wife has a new Honda Pilot and her dash is gorgeous (all white and cool blues)

I had a 1986 Pontiac Grand AM SE Turbo and it had orange lights. It looked cool back then but in retrospect it was kinda cheesy. Reminds me of the old Toshiba plasma display laptops. But, I would even prefer that to....pea soup green
