JRL, (I'm the guy with the silver V70 that bought the roof racks from you last spring)...

I'm confused, I see a lot of online posts referring to 850's, S/V70's and the lot having repairs done to the SAS pump. (Admittedly, I haven't had anytime to put my car in my garage and take and in depth look.)

But my searching online is leading me away from a SAS pump/system issue and more towards the ABS sensors.

Not all cars have SAS. My 96 turbo doesn't, but my NA did. Yours doesn't and my 99s70 does not have it either.

Find a cheap local garage to pull your ABS codes. Even if you have to pay them $30 it's a hell of a lot easier than staring at the car trying to figure out where the issue is.

Or send it back under warranty. Like JRL said, things happen.

Is it safe to assume that I cannot test my 99 V70 ABS unit in my 2004 XC70? I'm guessing that they are different units between generations?

Completely different systems, no way of doing that. You can only test yours on a 99-2000.

I finally had time to look over my V70. I found a broken wire on the passenger side at the connector. Unfortunately the break is 1/8" or 1/4" from the plug. So now I need to track down a new plug. Are these even available?
