fuel pressure regulator vacuum hoses??

Post by wetbackZO »

anyone have a picture or a vacuum hose routing diagram for my 83 240GLT? there are some disconnected hoses to the fuel pressure regulator and some kind of temperature vacuum switch also. If I knew where these hoses connect to I bet this car would run a lot better...help? Anyone??

the one from the pressure regulator goes right to the intake manifold a short distance away (1988 240) The car is supposed to have a sticker in the engine compartment to show you vacuum hose routing.

My car does have a sticker for "part" of the vacuum hose routing...it only shows hoses for the egr and canister systems. There's two ports on the regulator itself. I'm gonna try manifold vacuum on one of the ports and i'll hook the other port to the thermal vacuum switch(blue) and see what this does. Thanx for the reply/help!!

I have the same problem on my 83 244 D1 gasoline turbo. Two hoses comming from the control pres reg that are actually connected together and then go somewhere else but not sure where. I don't see how it can work with the hoses hooked together.

well, the hoses are hooked up together w/ a Tee fitting, but one of them needs a "delay valve" which I can't find anywhere...I guess I'll have to look at the volvo boneyards...wish me luck, he he.

My lines are connected with a tee and I do have the delay valve on one of them but I still don't know where they go. I think the two into one line goes to the ported vacuum unit below the intake, The blue thing that looks like a sending unit with two vacuum ports on it. I think another line goes from the intake manifold to the ported vacuum unit also. Don't know for sure though.
