For awhile I thought it needed a tune-up, so did that. Still a tremble - maybe a valve adjust, naw. An exhaust gasket leak maybe? I tightened the manifold bolts. They took it a little. Noticed manifold to exhaust flange gasket leaking some. Replaced that. Well, motor still shakes on its mounts. If I just listen to it idle, it sounds great. Sprayed carb cleaner on all visible fittings to see if any noticeable change. Don't think so.
So I ask, why does the motor shake so when it sounds smooth running otherwise? I can feel it a every stop light. Past Volvos didn't have that. Thanks ahead of time for any ideas.
Motor mounts seem OK

I mean to say that if I rev the engine by hand, or when driving and accelerating, it seems to be running smoothly. Is there a technique to find which injector may be bad? I'm searching my storage for a compression tester, I know I saw it in there somewhere.
I will try the cleaner yes, why didn't I think of that? So a four cylinder runs "rougher"..? Don't think I could go along with that thought Mr Guajolote, but thanks for the tips!
Hey ppjasper, I am having a similar situation with my 2000 C70 2.3L 5 cylinder turbo. Engine seems to run OK. Just replace top motor mount. But sounds like it's vibrating a lot and sounds almost like exhaust leak. Have you figured yours out yet? My noisiness popped up unexpectedly after replacing my radiator. Did I loosen some exhaust connection when I jacked it up? Something else? Driving me crazy and I'm afraid to drive it.
