Hello from the anthracite coal region in PA. I have had two 240 wagons over the years and the winter of 2011 bought a 2002 XC70 which I just replaced the propeller shaft with 88k which my wife drives. I would like to get another XC70 and trade in my Jeep. I have a choice of one with 150K and 190K miles. My question is should I stay clear or don't worry about the milage?
It depends.
My 96 has 165k miles and drives better than most cars with 65K. I will likely keep the car another 3 - 5 years. This is due to the sustained, obsessive matainance it has received since I purchased it in 98. What level of care have either of these cars received? Proper care is the key to long life.
