How to switch off driving lights on 1998yr S40

Can anybody please tell me how to turn of my daytime driving lights on a 1998yr S40. I have tried method as described in handbook for my 2000yr V40 but that doesnt appear to work and i dont have a handbook for the 1998yr S40.The method i have tried is:

Turn light switch to sidelight position,
Turn ignition to II,
Pull main beam lever on and hold,
Switch off the sidelights,
Switch off ignition,
Let go of main beam lever.

This method works on my V40.
But not on my S40.

Any help would be appreiciated
